Record share of Britons surveyed view Farage negatively
In the United Kingdom, 69% of respondents have an unfavorable view of Nigel Farage, leader of the right-wing populist Reform UK party. This is the highest figure in the 10-year history of YouGov’s political popularity tracker, Politico Europe reports.

Compared with the previous month, the share of respondents with an unfavorable attitude toward Farage increased by two percentage points. Some 24% of those surveyed view the Reform UK leader favorably.
Fifty-seven percent of respondents have a “very unfavorable” opinion of Farage. According to YouGov, none of the other four leaders of the main parties has such a figure.
YouGov surveyed 2,099 adults in the United Kingdom on September 9–10.

Scrutiny and party funding
The data were released amid an investigation by parliamentary bodies into an undeclared £5 million gift from cryptocurrency billionaire Christopher Harborne.
Earlier this month, two of Farage’s aides — Dan Jukes and head of policy James Orr — stepped back from their duties during an investigation linked to an undercover operation concerning donations.
At the same time, Reform UK received a record £72 million financial injection from two financiers. The party said it would use the funds to strengthen its policy work and election campaigns.
