Following the attack on Zakarpattia, Hungary called on Russia to cease its aggression against civilians

Hungary lodged a protest with the Russian ambassador in Budapest following the attack by Russian drones on Transcarpathia.

This was announced by Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orbán in a video address.

According to her, the Hungarian government strongly condemns Russian aggression against the civilian population and demands its immediate cessation.

The minister emphasized that Budapest finds it unacceptable that the attacks are now affecting Transcarpathia, where a Hungarian community resides.

She also stated that Russia must make efforts to immediately cease fire and achieve a peaceful end to the war as soon as possible.

The Hungarian government commented on the massive attack by Russian drones on Transcarpathia, during which the region’s critical infrastructure was struck. Budapest described the situation in the border region as extremely alarming and announced that it is preparing urgent countermeasures.

Transcarpathiahas suffered the most massive attack by Russia since the start of the war — Regional Military Administration.
