Hungary has announced independent decisions regarding Russian energy supplies — Politico
Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orbán stated on May 23 that Budapest will continue to determine its own energy policy. According to her, the country’s key priorities remain national interests and ensuring the energy security of Hungarian citizens.

Orbán was asked to comment on the country’s dependence on Russian energy resources. In response, she stated that Hungary will do what is “best for the Hungarian people.”
According to the minister, Budapest seeks to be able to make its own decisions in the energy sector.
Anita Orbán also stated that Hungary must develop an energy mix that is best for the country in terms of price, availability, and sustainability.
Earlier, the Hungarian government commented on the massive attack by Russian drones on Zakarpattia, during which the region’s critical infrastructure was struck. Budapest described the situation in the border region as extremely alarming and announced that it was preparing urgent countermeasures.
