This document has been published on the website of the President of Ukraine.
According to the document, the United Kingdom commits to allocating at least 3 billion pounds sterling annually for Kyiv’s defense needs through 2030/31. The strategic dialogue covers eight key areas, including security, energy, trade, and technology, which should ensure the country’s resilience amid ongoing aggression.
Within the partnership, particular attention is being paid to strengthening air defense and joint weapons production. The parties agreed to expand the LYRA program to produce OCTOPUS interceptor drones, as well as to implement the Nightfall project, which will allow Ukrainian combat experience to be integrated into British defense innovations. While Russia continues its attacks on civilian infrastructure, London has reaffirmed its leadership in the air defense coalition and the continuation of Operation INTERFLEX to train Ukrainian military personnel.
The joint statement also provides for deepening cooperation within the Joint Expeditionary Forces and the development of joint defense and technology initiatives. The document creates a platform for direct interaction between defense sector companies in both countries, which will facilitate not only exports but also the joint development of military capabilities. The parties emphasized that the strategic partnership will continue for as long as necessary to fully restore security in the region.
