Umerov met with the Turkish foreign minister in Ankara
Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, paid an official visit to Ankara, where he held an important meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
This was reported by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 24.
The parties discussed current security issues and the strategic partnership between the two countries in light of current geopolitical challenges.
Despite significant public and media interest in this event, the Turkish side decided to refrain from disclosing the agenda in detail.
The Turkish ministry did not specify the details or topics of the talks, limiting itself to merely confirming that the official meeting took place.
The diplomatic corps traditionally maintains confidentiality when discussing critical defense and security issues.
Official confirmation of the high-level talks appeared on the information resources of the Turkish Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Our Minister Hakan Fidan held a meeting in Ankara with Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,” reads the ministry’s post on social media platform X, where a photo of the meeting was also published.
In the published photos, the heads of the agencies are seen shaking hands against the backdrop of their national flags.
Umerov complained about scammers sending fake messages to partners
As a reminder, Russian pranksters called Merkel, posing as Poroshenko.
Also, well-known Putin pranksters nicknamed Vovan and Lexus called Polish President Andrzej Duda, introducing themselves as French leader Emmanuel Macron.
