Three people were killed as a result of new U.S. strikes on Iran
On July 14, the United States carried out new airstrikes on Iranian territory. The port city of Bandar Abbas and the province of Bushehr in the south of the country were targeted. According to Iranian media reports, there have been fatalities as a result of the strikes.
According to media in the Islamic Republic, the strikes targeted several districts in Bushehr Province. The governor’s office reported attacks in at least four districts of the province.
The Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, citing the Hormozgan provincial administration, reported that three people were killed in Bandar Abbas as a result of an airstrike. According to local sources, at least five explosions were heard in the western part of the city.
In addition, the Liberian-flagged tanker Stolt Magnesium, currently in the Arabian Sea, reported the incident. The vessel stated that it was struck by an “unknown external device” that hit the engine room.
A fire broke out on board after the strike; however, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties among the crew members.
No official comments have yet been received from the U.S. regarding the new strikes on Iran. Nor have there been any reports on the targets that may have been attacked.
