Final day of back-to-school discount fair underway in Accra
In Accra, Ghana, the second and final day of the Joy FM Back-to-School Discount Fair is underway. Parents, guardians and students are coming to the Joy FM car park in the Kokomlemle area to purchase goods for the new school year, MyJoyOnline reports.
The strong attendance recorded on the first day of the fair — Friday, September 4 — continued the following day. Visitors are moving between stands, comparing products and taking advantage of discounts before the fair closes at 8:00 p.m.
Goods for the school year
The fair features books, school bags, shoes, clothing, stationery and other items needed for studying. Many shoppers described the event as a convenient way to buy necessary goods in one place at competitive prices.

Educational materials and children's goods are offered by, among others, Kingdom Books & Stationery Limited, Paddington Publications Limited, Universal Knowledge Kingdom Limited, SalJay Bookshop, Afram Publications Ghana Limited, Challenge Bookshop, Prestige Children’s Palace and BeGerts Kids.
Discounts on electronics
The event's main sponsor, Compu Ghana, is offering discounts of up to 40% on selected electronic devices and household appliances, including laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, routers, headphones, power banks and small refrigerators.
Compu Ghana's promotion will run until September 20. Other participants in the fair include Flow Glow Impact, Haps Global Logistics Limited, Zonzoom Limited, Media Brain Consult, Unilever Ghana Limited, Shsonline.com and Sunrise Christian High School.
