In the Australian city of Townsville, an 11-year-old girl has been charged with robbery following an incident involving a 28-year-old woman near a bus. Another 11-year-old girl was detained in connection with the case.
Incident circumstances
As ABC News Australia reports, according to police, at about 7:30 p.m., the woman was boarding a bus on Flinders Lane when she was grabbed from behind and knocked to the ground.
Police allege that the woman was beaten while she was lying on the ground and that her property was stolen. Emergency services treated the victim for head injuries.

Detention and charges
Police officers soon detained two 11-year-old girls. One of them was charged with robbery in company with violence.
She was refused bail and is due to appear before the Townsville Children's Court. Procedures provided for under juvenile justice legislation will be applied to the second girl detained.
