In Austria, three families with young children were evacuated from the mountains
In Austria, rescuers carried out an operation to evacuate three families who, along with their young children and strollers, found themselves in a dangerous high-altitude area near Sölden.
During their hike, the tourists strayed from the marked trail several times and became stranded at an altitude of over 2,300 meters. After an emergency call, mountain rescuers and two helicopters were deployed to the scene.
A total of 14 people were evacuated by air, while rescuers escorted another 22 people back to the valley on foot. No one was injured in the incident.
