Six community sports tournaments launched in Riyadh
The Riyadh Region Municipality has launched six community sports tournaments, which will take place throughout September at 11 locations in the central part of the city. The initiative is intended for people of different ages and aims to promote physical activity and encourage residents to participate in local events.
Football, basketball and board games
The program includes football leagues for neighborhood residents and volunteers, as well as basketball, volleyball, Baloot and dominoes competitions. This was reported by Asharq Al-Awsat, citing the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

More than 15 entertainment, educational and health-awareness events are being held alongside the sports competitions. Forty public, private and non-profit organizations have been involved in organizing them.
Community spaces
The initiative is part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to activate public spaces, improve quality of life and develop community centers as hubs of everyday life and leisure.
