Iran reported the deaths of three soldiers following U.S. strikes

Iran reported the deaths of three Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps soldiers following new U.S. strikes. Despite declarations of a ceasefire, the sides continue to exchange attacks, and the situation in the Middle East remains tense.

U.S. President Donald Trump, meanwhile, has endorsed the new military strikes but insists that this does not mean a return to full-scale war. Such statements only heighten uncertainty about how events will unfold.

The Iranian news agency Mizan reported the deaths of three members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. According to the agency, the soldiers were killed as a result of U.S. airstrikes on Iranian territory. No further details regarding the location of the attack or the identities of the deceased have been released at this time.

In recent days, the sides have continued to exchange strikes, despite earlier declarations of a ceasefire. In particular, new attacks took place on both Wednesday and Thursday. According to Western media estimates, Thursday was one of the most tense days since the ceasefire was announced. The scale of the new strikes was greater than that of previous attacks.

Against this backdrop, U.S. President Donald Trump made a series of statements that drew mixed reactions. On the one hand, he supported new military operations against Iran. On the other hand, he emphasized that these strikes do not signal a return to full-scale war. “This does not mean the start of a major war,” the U.S. president continues to state, according to U.S. media reports.

However, experts note that combining military strikes with statements about not wanting an escalation only increases uncertainty. It is currently unclear whether the parties will be able to maintain the fragile ceasefire or whether the conflict will enter a new phase. There have been no official reports of possible new negotiations between the U.S. and Iran so far. At the same time, the situation in the region remains tense, and the risk of further escalation persists. Al Jazeera reports this.

The United States has announced a large-scale military operation against Iran. Over the past two days, U.S. forces have struck more than 170 military targets located near the Strait of Hormuz. Officials in Washington say the main goal of the operation is to weaken Iran’s ability to attack international shipping.

Despite declarations of a ceasefire, the situation in the Middle East has escalated again. On Wednesday night, the U.S. and Iran exchanged new strikes, and Jordan announced that it had intercepted Iranian missiles over its territory. Meanwhile, in Iran, the funeral for former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei continues amid ongoing hostilities.

A funeral procession took place in the city of Mashhad, Iran, during which the coffins of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and members of his family were carried through the streets. Large crowds gathered to pay their respects, causing the procession to be temporarily halted.
