In Israel, two natives of CIS countries are accused of espionage

The Israeli Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against 26-year-old Tamerlan Amshukov and 24-year-old Alina Kushnirenko, who reside in Ashkelon.

According to the investigation, they passed information to an enemy agent via Telegram in exchange for monetary compensation.

According to the prosecutor’s office, from April through July 2026, the defendants collected data on Israel’s military and civilian infrastructure, as well as the places of residence of law enforcement personnel. They allegedly passed the obtained materials to a foreign agent in exchange for payment, including in cryptocurrency.

Investigators claim that the suspects were aware that the information they gathered could be used to the enemy’s advantage. The prosecutor’s office is asking the court to keep them in custody until the case is resolved.
