In Israel, a senior police official criticized the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) over large-scale surprise drills that did not involve police officers. He called the decision disgraceful and said it showed that the lessons of October 7 had not been learned, The Jerusalem Post reports.

According to the official, the military did not inform the police about the surprise exercise. In his view, excluding the police from the drills shows that the army has not learned the lessons of previous events.
