Israel holds military and police drills in case of a surprise attack

Near the city of Eilat in Israel, the Israel Defense Forces are conducting the “Kadmat Homa” exercise in the area of the 80th Division. All division forces, as well as aviation, naval and other security forces, have been involved in the maneuvers. The aim of the exercise is to strengthen preparedness for a possible large-scale surprise attack under scenarios modeled on the events of October 7, The Jerusalem Post reports.

Security forces movement

The military warned of a noticeable increase in the number of security personnel, aircraft, naval vessels and vehicles in the Eilat area and along Israel’s eastern border. At the same time, they stressed that there is no security incident.

Israel Police are taking part in the maneuvers as part of Operation “Southern Wind,” conducted by the Southern District Police under the command of Haim Bublil and Alon Kalfon. Police officers from the Eilat area and nearby territories, as well as security and emergency services, have joined the exercise.
