In Israel, Zamir orders review of legal action against NAZA producers
In Israel, Israel Defense Forces Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir ordered a full review of possible legal action against the producers of the NAZA documentary film. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.
Eyal Zamir’s statement
Zamir stated that, in light of the materials published at the time, the film is neither criticism of the IDF nor an attempt to establish the truth. According to him, the film is based on “blood libels,” deliberately distorts reality, and contains serious false accusations against IDF service members and commanders.

Possible legal steps
This concerns a review and consideration of potential legal steps, rather than a lawsuit that has already been filed or a defined procedure. Zamir also defended the Israel Defense Forces, stating that it operates in accordance with international law. The Jerusalem Post noted that its report on the situation is being updated.
