Israel detains 19-year-old Kafr Qasim resident suspected of planning attack
In Israel, a 19-year-old resident of the city of Kafr Qasim was detained on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack involving explosive devices. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post, citing a joint statement by Israel’s Shin Bet security service and the police.
Investigation details
According to the investigation, the suspect was influenced by the events of October 7, after which he began developing an attack plan. Investigators said that he searched his phone for combat manuals and downloaded and stored instructions for making explosive devices.

Seized property and procedural actions
During the detention, law enforcement authorities said they found a significant amount of training equipment and airsoft weapons in the suspect’s possession. Shin Bet and the police also claim that he attempted to make explosive devices from various materials and involved other people in these attempts.
Following interrogations conducted by Shin Bet and the Sharon Central Unit, the prosecution filed a declaration with the Central District Court ahead of an indictment.
