In the Chinese city of Wuhan, tests are underway on GigaAI SeeLight S1 humanoid robots, which are designed to perform household tasks in a home environment. Approximately 100 androids are involved in the testing.
During demonstrations in apartments measuring about 150 square meters, the robots performed various household tasks: delivering food, reheating meals, clearing the table, loading dishes into the dishwasher, and folding and putting away clothes.
The developers claim that the robots are capable of following commands in natural language, analyzing their surroundings, planning actions, and adapting to changes in the household environment. At the same time, experts note that even tasks that are simple for humans remain complex for modern robotic systems.
It is also reported that during testing, users were not always satisfied with the results: performing simple actions can take several minutes, and sometimes the robots make mistakes, such as spilling liquid while interacting with objects.
The android robot Pembaconquered a 6,200-meter-high volcano.
Earlier, the Chinese company Unitree Robotics launched the humanoid robot Unitree R1 for mass sale, priced at $5,900.
Recently, American billionaire Elon Musk released a video showing the humanoid robot Optimus, created by Tesla, performing dance moves.
Tesla has once again shown its humanoid robot Optimus in a video. In the footage, the humanoid demonstrated its ability to perform everyday tasks with impressive efficiency.
