Video: Iran has shown off the air defense system it used to shoot down an American F-35
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has released new footage of an underground facility housing medium- and long-range air defense systems.

The video shows launchers as well as significant stockpiles of containers with interceptor missiles. Among the equipment is the Iranian-made Khordad-15 surface-to-air missile system, which was unveiled in 2019.
According to the Iranian military, this system uses Sayyad-3 missiles and is capable of simultaneously tracking up to six aerial targets.
The Khordad-15 can engage aircraft and drones at ranges of up to 150 km, as well as detect targets equipped with stealth technology at ranges of up to 85 km.
The IRGC released new footage from one of its missile cities, showing a large number of air defense missiles & launchers, claiming that these have been used to target an F-35.

The IRGC also claims that such systems could have been used against F-35 fighter jets, but there is no independent confirmation of these claims.
