Two Ukrainians were injured in an explosion near a train station in Germany
Two Ukrainian citizens were injured in a nighttime explosion near the main train station in Augsburg, Germany. They happened to be passing by the scene of the incident. A few hours later, another suspicious object was discovered at the station.
Details of the incident
The explosion occurred on the night of September 2 at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Bahnhofstrasse, near Augsburg’s main train station. According to law enforcement officials, an unidentified object detonated in a passageway between the buildings of a retail and office complex.
As a result of the explosion, two Ukrainian citizens sustained minor injuries and acoustic trauma. According to police, the victims were passersby who happened to be at the scene. They are a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy.
The blast wave also damaged the facades and storefronts of neighboring buildings, including a jewelry store, a bank branch, and a household chemicals store.
Investigators are determining the type of explosive device and examining all possible scenarios, including potential criminal conflicts.
Second Suspicious Object
At around 8:30 a.m. that same day, another suspicious object was discovered in the pedestrian tunnel of the main train station. Law enforcement officers evacuated the station and completely halted train traffic.
“With the help of a dog trained to detect explosives and specialists from the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office, it was ultimately determined that the object posed no danger,” the police statement said.

Ukrainian driver’s licenses can be exchanged in Germany without taking exams.
Earlier, a fatal traffic accident occurred in the Obukhiv district. A 70-year-old driver of a passenger car was killed in the accident, and two female passengers were injured.
In Ukraine, since the beginning of this year, 390 people—including 168 children—have been injured in traffic accidents involving light electric vehicles.
