Law enforcement authorities in Northern Ireland used water cannons to disperse an aggressive crowd during the second wave of mass unrest that erupted following a knife attack in Belfast.

Clashes between radical protesters and law enforcement intensified northwest of the regional capital.

Authorities were forced to deploy additional special operations units to stabilize the situation on the city streets.

A group of police officers in riot gear came under a massive attack from people throwing bricks, bottles, and pieces of wood at a large roundabout.

Law enforcement officers deployed special equipment and water cannons directly at the Sandinous roundabout in Glengormley, located approximately 13 kilometers from the center of Belfast.

Video footage shows dozens of people dressed in black and wearing masks deliberately destroying driveways and fences of nearby homes to use the debris as projectiles.

The escalation of violence has led to significant damage to civilian infrastructure and the disruption of daily life in the region.

A large Ministry of Infrastructure vehicle was seen burning in the conflict zone, along with numerous set-alight trash cans.

The aggressive crowd reportedly attempted to set fire to an abandoned building in the same area, with some throwing Molotov cocktails at police lines.

According to the investigation, radical demonstrators apparently tried to approach the hotel where asylum seekers are staying.

This is reported by the BBC.
