The ruling Serbian Progressive Party unanimously nominated Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić as its candidate for prime minister.
The decision was made on September 5 at a party meeting in Niš. Vučić will also head the “Aleksandar Vučić—United Serbia” electoral list.
Vucic himself called the nomination a great honor and called for more young people and students to be included on the list. The candidates will also include the well-known Serbian scholar Stojan Radonovic.
Vučić stated that the future government should be “swift and effective” and consist of the prime minister and 12 ministers.
Poland and Germany have the opportunity to provide Ukraine with interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense systems.
