The invitation for Trump's negotiators to visit Kyiv remains in effect — Zhovkva
The Office of the President of Ukraine has officially stated that the invitation to Kyiv for special representatives and negotiators of U.S. President Donald Trump remains fully in effect.
Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva said this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
The Ukrainian side is looking forward to the visit of high-ranking U.S. officials to discuss further strategic partnership and the resolution of the security situation.
During his conversation with journalists, the representative from Bankova Street outlined in detail Ukraine’s diplomatic plans for cooperation with the new U.S. administration.
Ihor Zhovkva clearly stated that the invitation to Kyiv for Trump’s negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner remains in effect and has not changed.
“This invitation remains in effect,” emphasized the Deputy Head of the Office of the President, confirming readiness for direct and detailed negotiations.
Currently, diplomatic channels of both countries are actively working to agree on a specific schedule for high-level meetings.
It is known that the negotiation process regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war has slowed somewhat with the start of a large-scale campaign by the U.S. and Israel against Iran.
Despite Washington’s shifting international priorities, Kyiv seeks to maintain constant communication with its strategic partners.
