Drone Shot Down Over Latvia May Have Been a False-Flag Operation — Lithuanian Prime Minister

On August 15, Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius stated that the drone shot down over Latvia may have been part of an “operation under a false flag.” At the same time, he emphasized that there is currently no evidence to support this theory, and final conclusions can only be drawn after the drone’s wreckage has been examined.

He added that clarity will only emerge once the drone itself or its wreckage is found.

“The downed drone has not yet been found. I think it will be found soon, and then it will become clear what kind of aircraft it is and who it belongs to. Most likely, experts will even be able to trace its target using the microchips,” Sinkevičius noted.

He also noted that the possibility of a “false-flag” operation cannot be ruled out.

“I think this information will come to light. What you’re talking about cannot be ruled out, but so far there is no confirmation of this,” he emphasized, responding to a question about whether it was a “false-flag” operation.

This was reported by Delfi.

Earlier, NATO fighter jets shot down a drone over Latvia.
