Zelenskyy and Trump Will Meet Behind Closed Doors, Says Press Secretary
On Tuesday, July 28, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington.
The talks will take place behind closed doors without media representatives present.
According to Nikiforov, the meeting between the two leaders will begin at 9:30 a.m. local time, which corresponds to 4:30 p.m. Kyiv time.
“At 9:30 a.m. (4:30 p.m. Kyiv time – IF-U), there will be a meeting with President Trump, indeed without the media, and we expect only photos from the event,” the head of state’s press secretary said.
Following his talks with Donald Trump, the President of Ukraine will meet with Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
The talks are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. local time (6:00 p.m. Kyiv time).
Also, at 12:30 p.m. Washington time (7:30 p.m. Kyiv time), Volodymyr Zelenskyy will participate in the national farewell ceremony for Senator Lindsey Graham.
In addition, at 6:00 p.m. local time (1:00 a.m. Kyiv time), the head of state will meet with U.S. senators and members of Congress, including the co-authors of the bill, Lindsey Graham, and other members of the U.S. Congress.
It is expected that during the talks, the parties will discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, support for Ukraine, and further interaction between Kyiv and Washington.
