Zelenskyy may speak with Trump again as early as June 17

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that another separate meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump could take place as early as June 17. Prior to that, the Ukrainian and American delegations will hold a series of talks. Technical meetings with representatives from the United Kingdom are also scheduled.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that another meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump could take place as early as Tuesday, June 17. The head of state made this statement in a comment to “Suspilne.” According to Zelenskyy, over the next 24 hours, the Ukrainian delegation will be working with its American counterparts. In addition, other important talks are scheduled. “The Ukrainian delegation will be meeting with the American delegation over the next 24 hours,” the president noted.

He clarified that these are not limited to political contacts. A series of technical meetings with partners, particularly with the United Kingdom, are also on the agenda. “We need to hold a large number of important technical meetings, particularly with the British,” Zelenskyy said.

The president also announced a separate meeting with the U.S. leader. “I think we’ll meet with the president separately tomorrow,” the head of state said.

No further details regarding the upcoming meeting have been released at this time. As a reminder, on June 16, Volodymyr Zelenskyy is participating in the G7 summit, which is taking place in Evian-les-Bains, France.

During the event, the Ukrainian president is holding talks with the leaders of partner nations. One of the main topics remains support for Ukraine and continued pressure on Russia. According to Zelenskyy, the G7 summit participants share a common view of the situation on the front lines. “The leaders of the G7 countries are united in the view that Russia is not winning the war against Ukraine and is suffering heavy casualties,” the president emphasized.

Separately, the Ukrainian side continues consultations with the United States. Washington remains one of Kyiv’s key partners in the areas of security, military aid, and sanctions pressure on Russia.

That is why new contacts between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump could prove important for further coordination between the two countries. Currently, the sides are continuing their work at the delegation level, and final decisions and agreements may be discussed during a face-to-face meeting between the leaders. The Ukrainian president made this statement in a comment to “Suspilne.”

Ukraine plans to produce about 10 million drones by the end of 2026. At the same time, the country has the potential to double this volume. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement following meetings on the sidelines of the G7 summit in France.
