Zelensky arrives in France for a meeting with Macron
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in France for a meeting with President Emmanuel Macron. The visit comes amid ongoing discussions on further support for Ukraine in its war against Russian aggression.
The two leaders are expected to discuss ways to strengthen defence assistance, joint projects, and coordination of security efforts. After arriving in Paris, Zelensky travelled to the Élysée Palace, where Macron welcomed him. The French side stressed that the meeting is of strategic importance for deepening the partnership between the two countries.
Talks will focus on supplying weapons, particularly long-range systems, as well as training Ukrainian military personnel in EU countries. In addition to security issues, the leaders will address support for the Ukrainian economy and humanitarian initiatives.
Earlier, Zelensky coordinated steps with NATO and the European Commission.
