Dynamo's interim coach complained about a fine for conducting training sessions in Russian
Vyacheslav Bogodelov, a former goalkeeper for Ukrainian soccer clubs and former coach at the Dynamo Youth Soccer School, reported that he was fined for conducting training sessions in Russian. He wrote about this on Facebook on August 5, posting a screenshot from the “Diya” app.
According to Bogodelov, enforcement proceedings have been initiated against him, and the fine amounts to 11,426 hryvnias. He claims that the penalty is related to a violation of language laws during training sessions.
In his post, the coach stated that for many years, his use of the Russian language had not bothered anyone. He also noted that during trips to the Zaporizhzhia region, military personnel allegedly paid no attention to the language he used to communicate.
At the same time, Ukrainian legislation requires the use of the state language during educational and training activities. These requirements are enshrined in the laws “On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language” and “On Extracurricular Education.”
As noted by “Glavkom,” most social media users did not support Bogodelov’s position and reacted critically to his post.
