Nigerian singer 2Baba presents songs from new album in Lagos — Premium Times Nigeria
Nigerian singer Innocent “2Baba” Idibia presented tracks from his upcoming album Oldest Young Man at a party marking his 51st birthday in the Victoria Island area of Lagos. The event was attended by his children, his mother Rose Idibia, friends, and representatives of the music and entertainment industry.
Among the guests were Kenny Ogungbe, Dayo “D1” Adeneye, Wande Coal, African China, Ayo Makun, Faze, Tony Tetuila, Jide Awobona, and Spyro, Premium Times Nigeria reports. The musician’s children and mother joined him on stage to cut the birthday cake.
Performance with Faze
During the evening, 2Baba and Faze performed a freestyle, recalling the period when they were members of the group Plantashun Boiz. The group also included Ahmedu “Blackface” Obiabo. Formed in the late 1990s, the group became one of Nigeria’s influential music acts, and its members later continued with solo careers.

2Baba gained wide popularity as a member of Plantashun Boiz. His debut solo album Face 2 Face, released in 2004, included the song African Queen.
New song and food brand
The singer began his birthday celebrations the previous day by releasing the track Mental, recorded with singer Fave. He also introduced a new food brand, 2Baba Jollof.
The performer’s manager, Mallam Yankee, said that the birthday celebration marked the beginning of a new stage in 2Baba’s career. According to him, the singer plans to launch more projects in the coming months while continuing his music career.
