Olga Gorbacheva was denied entry to a facility in Kyiv
On August 22, Olga Gorbacheva said she was denied entry to a venue in Kyiv because of her leather flip-flops, which the staff deemed inappropriate for the dress code. The artist stated that she was wearing a dress and that, in her opinion, her shoes perfectly complemented her outfit.
Olga Gorbacheva tried to enter a venue located inside a hotel. She was wearing leather flip-flops, and the staff decided that her footwear did not comply with the dress code.
“Some people might find this news amusing, but I was turned away from a venue in Kyiv because of my flip-flops… And that’s okay, and kind of cool… But I think the staff at five-star hotels could use a little training in distinguishing beach flip-flops from leather ones. And a beautiful woman in a beautiful dress and comfortable shoes from someone who disregards the dress code,” the artist said indignantly.

The celebrity also added that she sees nothing wrong with wearing leather flip-flops. Besides, she said, they went perfectly with that dress. The former singer added that it’s good to follow the rules of etiquette, but it’s still necessary to distinguish when it’s appropriate and when it’s not.
“Let’s talk about style. I don’t see high heels or a ‘bitchy’ style with this light linen dress. The absence of a single strap on the back of the foot shouldn’t make a difference. But it does! And that’s good for etiquette! But the people standing at the entrance lack inner etiquette and are trained solely to spot ‘flip-flops,’” the artist concluded.
