Tom Hardy made his rap debut under the stage name Frankie Pulitzer
British actor Tom Hardy has released his debut rap album under the stage name Frankie Pulitzer. The album, “Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer,” features 15 tracks and was recorded in collaboration with the hip-hop group Czarface.
Busta Rhymes, Method Man, and EL-P also contributed to the album. In his lyrics, Hardy references Shakespeare, Marvel, Martin Scorsese’s films, and the works of Stephen King.
In one of the tracks, “Grim-Visaged War,” the actor recites an excerpt from William Shakespeare’s play “Richard III.” In doing so, Hardy uses the voice of Bane—the character he played in the 2012 film *The Dark Knight Rises*.
In the song “Raw Forever,” Hardy also draws on cinematic imagery. In particular, the lyrics reference Martin Scorsese’s 1999 film “Bringing Out the Dead.”
In the same track, Hardy mentions Willem Dafoe and his role as the Green Goblin in the 2002 film “Spider-Man.”
Another reference to Marvel involves Doctor Doom.
In the song “Mad Technology,” Hardy references Stephen King’s works several times. Among other things, he mentions the novel *Cujo* and the 1990 film *Misery* starring Kathy Bates.
Hardy’s collaboration with Czarface actually began several years ago. In 2021, the group began releasing music with a mysterious rapper who went by the name Frankie Pulitzer.
This led listeners to speculate that Tom Hardy himself might be hiding behind the pseudonym. Now, the actor has officially released a full-length debut album under that name.
This isn’t Hardy’s first foray into music. Even before he became a famous actor, he was involved in rap, and recordings of his early tracks have appeared online on multiple occasions. However, “Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer” is his first official album under this stage name.
