Zelenskyy awarded Andriy Khlyvnyuk the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine
On the occasion of Ukrainian Statehood Day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Andriy Khlyvnyuk, frontman of the band “Boombox,” the title of “Honored Artist of Ukraine.” The head of state signed the corresponding decree on July 15.
In total, five other figures in culture and the arts received the title of “Honored Artist of Ukraine”:
- Anastasia Baird—ballerina and principal dancer at the Kyiv Modern Ballet Academic Theater;
- Ihor Kishman — director and artistic director of the Military Music Center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Ground Forces;
- Ilona Kravchenko — ballet dancer, leading stage artist at the National Opera of Ukraine;
- Renat Settarov — actor at the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater;
- Viktor Khramov — chorus member of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Philharmonic.
Honorary titles were also awarded to representatives of politics, science, medicine, and other fields.
This is stated in Presidential Decree No. 604/2026 on the awarding of state honors of Ukraine on the occasion of Ukrainian Statehood Day.
As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law establishing a new state award—the Order of Europe. It will be awarded to Ukrainian citizens and foreigners for outstanding contributions to supporting Ukraine’s European course.
