Druzhkivka is under attack by FABs and drones; there are casualties
In Druzhkivka, Donetsk Oblast, Russian forces launched a combined attack using aerial bombs and FPV drones, killing at least four civilians and injuring five others with varying degrees of severity. The attacks took place during the day and struck both residential areas and a car on one of the city’s streets.
Initially, according to the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, around 11:00 a.m., the occupiers dropped three FAB-250 aerial bombs from a UMPK onto the city, which struck populated areas where people were present, killing three men aged 33, 59, and 62; several other men were wounded, one of whom is in critical condition and receiving medical care.
An hour after the airstrike, Russian forces attacked the city with an FPV drone, which struck a VAZ-2107 car traveling down the street, killing a 52-year-old man, while another, a 51-year-old resident, sustained severe injuries, including blast trauma and multiple shrapnel wounds.
Local authorities and medical personnel are working at the scene, providing assistance to the victims, while the extent of the damage and the exact circumstances of the strikes are still being determined, as the attack was yet another blow to the city’s civilian infrastructure, where people found themselves under fire in broad daylight.
The prosecutor’s office emphasizes that all instances of shelling are being documented for further investigation as war crimes.
