DTEK has manufactured and repaired more than a thousand pieces of equipment in preparation for winter

In January–July 2026, DTEK’s machine-building enterprises manufactured and repaired more than 1,000 units of mining equipment. During the same period, the company’s enterprises produced 1.2 million spare parts and components for the Ukrainian coal mining industry.

Since the beginning of the year, DTEK’s machine-building enterprises have been operating at full capacity, supplying Ukrainian mines with the necessary equipment ahead of the new heating season.

In the first seven months of 2026, the company’s enterprises:

  • manufactured 1.2 million spare parts and components;
  • manufactured and repaired over 1,000 units of mining equipment;
  • produced 8 new tunneling and longwall shearers;
  • manufactured three Ukrainian-made electric motors.

The company emphasizes that in-house production and equipment repair enable it to promptly supply mines with necessary components, maintain the stability of production processes, and prepare in advance for the heating season.

According to DTEK Energo CEO Oleksandr Fomenko, machine builders must provide the mines with everything they need before the cold weather sets in.

“Everyone understands perfectly well that to get through the coming winter of war, we must work as seamlessly as possible and prepare everything well in advance, Fomenko noted.

He added that thanks to the work of machine-building enterprises, Ukrainian mines are receiving the necessary equipment and components, which allows them to maintain production and intensify preparations for the upcoming heating season.

The company also continues to invest in supporting Ukrainian coal production.

As of the end of 2025, Rinat Akhmetov’s DTEK had invested 6.7 billion hryvnia in the coal mining industry.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the company’s total investments in supporting Ukrainian coal mining have exceeded 28.3 billion hryvnias.

This was reported by DTEK.

As a reminder, the state-owned PrivatBank signed a contract with Darex Trading Solutions LLC to purchase diesel generators with connections worth 349.96 million hryvnias.

The National Security and Defense Council has approved a resilience plan for Kyiv, and its implementation has already begun.

Kyiv residents are advised to stock up on water for three days due to the risk of new attacks.
