Goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, who has lost his starting spot at PSG, as well as Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga and Tottenham forward Randal Kolo Muani, did not make the roster, despite the high level of competition within the team.
Instead, France is bringing a strong contingent of players from the Champions League finalists to the World Cup, including players from PSG, Arsenal, and other leading European clubs, which underscores the depth and balance of the squad.
The roster includes goalkeepers Mike Maignan, Brice Samba, and Robin Risser; defenders Lucas Hernández, Jules Koundé, Ibrahima Konaté, William Saliba, and others; midfielders such as Aurélien Tchouaméni and N’Golo Kanté; as well as a star-studded attacking line featuring Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, Marcus Thuram, and Michael Olise.
The French national team has been drawn into Group I, where it will face Senegal, Iraq, and Norway, and will play its opening match on June 17 in East Rutherford, USA, kicking off its journey toward one of the world’s premier soccer tournaments.
For the first time, FIFA will organize a musical show during halftime of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final. The decision will be implemented during the match scheduled for July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the organization announced.
