Iran has sharply criticized Trump over his public threats

Iran has sharply criticized Trump over his public threats

The social media accounts of Iranian embassies have launched an active campaign criticizing U.S. President Donald Trump following his harsh statements regarding possible strikes on Iran’s infrastructure.

This was reported by Politico.

Reportedly, the reason was Trump’s posts on social media, in which he threatened attacks on civilian targets, including power plants and bridges, if no agreement is reached on opening the strategic strait.

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day and Bridge Day, all in one, in Iran,” Trump wrote.

“Nothing of the sort will happen!!! Open the damn strait, you lunatics, or you’ll be living in hell,” he added.

In response, Iranian diplomatic missions in various countries issued a series of sharp statements.

The Iranian Embassy in Thailand urged the U.S. president to watch his “language.”

“When you listen to him, close your eyes… you can almost see a Stone Age caveman in a zebra skin, waving a club and treating savagery as everyday life,” diplomats in Austria stated.

“Swearing and insults are the behavior of spiteful losers,” noted the Iranian Embassy in India.

In Finland, representatives from Tehran emphasized that Trump’s posts demonstrate his “lack of familiarity with proper etiquette and morality on social media.”

Other accounts linked to Iranian diplomatic missions also joined in the criticism, though the authenticity of some of them could not be immediately confirmed.

Against this backdrop of tension, it is noted that the U.S. and Israel have been conducting a military campaign against Iran for several weeks, striking its military infrastructure and leadership.

Recall that U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States could “destroy Iran overnight” if Tehran does not comply with Washington’s demands, particularly regarding the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that in a post on Truth Social, where he threatened Iran during Easter, he used profanity solely to convey his position more clearly.

The day before, Tehran announced that the strategically important sea route would remain closed until the country received full compensation for the damages caused by the war.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced the possibility of reaching an agreement with Iran as early as April 6, 2026, warning of the complete destruction of critical infrastructure should negotiations fail.

Prior to this, Trump issued an ultimatum to Iran’s leadership demanding that the Strait of Hormuz be reopened by the evening of Tuesday, April 7

As a reminder, the IRGC announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and threatened a “harsh response” to ships.

The Strait of Hormuz could also become the “Trump Strait.”
