ISW has revealed staggering figures on Ukraine's strikes against Russia, and they continue to rise

Ukraine continues to increase the intensity and range of its medium- and long-range strike campaign

According to analysts, Ukrainian forces have significantly shifted the focus of their attacks, striking the occupiers’ military facilities and logistics at distances of tens of kilometers from the front line.

Analysis shows that in May and June 2026, the average depth of Ukrainian strikes increased significantly. Whereas targets were previously struck just a few kilometers from the front line, they are now being hit tens of kilometers behind Russian lines.

French OSINT analyst Clément Molin confirmed, based on video footage, at least 500 Ukrainian strikes on Russian trucks and vehicles between May 1 and June 18.

In addition, geolocation data confirms 270 such strikes since the beginning of 2026. In May, Ukrainian forces were particularly active in attacking the rear areas of the Russian group in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors.

Sections of the M-14 Rostov–Crimea highway in the southwestern part of Donetsk Oblast and the eastern part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast came under attack.

In June, the intensity of attacks in these areas decreased, while the Ukrainian military shifted its focus to the temporarily occupied Kherson Oblast and Crimea.

The campaign of strikes against the immediate rear areas of Russian forces in the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Sloviansk sectors has also expanded.

According to ISW estimates, Ukrainian forces carried out at least 210 medium-range strikes on occupied territories in May and 145 such strikes in June as of today.

Analysts also noted the expanding capabilities of Ukrainian long-range drones. On June 21, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated: “The new Ukrainian Fire Point drones have already struck targets at distances of up to 2,070 kilometers.”

According to the head of state, Ukrainian drones will soon be capable of striking targets at ranges of up to 3,000 kilometers.
