Costa criticized Zelenskyy's statements about "threats" against Orbán

European Council President António Costa criticized the actions of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who is blocking the decision on financial aid to Ukraine, and also commented on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s rhetoric.

This was reported by Suspilne.

During the EU summit on March 19, leaders discussed the situation surrounding Ukraine, particularly Budapest’s blocking of changes to the multiannual financial plan necessary to provide Ukraine with a €90 billion loan.

Kosha called Hungary’s position unacceptable and contrary to the principles of cooperation within the European Union.

At the same time, he drew attention to the Ukrainian president’s statements, noting that some of them were “inappropriate in tone” and did not contribute to resolving the situation.

Separately, Costa commented on the issue of the Druzhba oil pipeline, emphasizing that Ukraine had confirmed its readiness to fulfill its obligations to the EU, particularly regarding the stability of energy supplies.

Viktor Orbán refusedto call the strikes on Iran the start of a war.

As a reminder, Orbán is preparing to take extreme measures in the event of an election defeat.

Orbán also called on Britain to take a tougher stance against illegal migration.
