Miley called on the United Kingdom to return the Falkland Islands to Argentina
Argentine President Javier Milei once again reiterated Buenos Aires' claims to the Falkland Islands, which Argentina refers to as the Malvinas. He emphasized that the Argentine government hopes to secure the return of the territory through diplomatic channels.
Milei stated that, in his opinion, the United Kingdom faces internal problems related to the independence aspirations of certain parts of the country.
“The United Kingdom has major problems. Today, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland are already demanding secession. Therefore, at some point, Great Britain—God willing, it will come to its senses—will return to us the islands that belong to us,” Milei said.
The Falkland Islands remain the subject of a territorial dispute between Argentina and Great Britain. Buenos Aires refers to the archipelago as the Malvinas Islands and insists on its territorial claims.
