Russian forces have intensified their drone attacks in the suburbs of Kherson

Russian occupation forces have significantly stepped up their use of drones to attack civilians in the suburbs of Kherson, prompting local authorities to impose restrictions on travel along certain sections of roads. 

The Kherson City Military Administration urged residents of the villages of Inzhenerne, Zelenivka, and Tekstilne to avoid traveling on the Beryslav Highway between the “Fabrika” shopping center and the village of Komyshany due to the high risk of airstrikes. 

On April 23 and 24, residents of the village of Komyshany were affected by enemy shelling, with three civilians requiring medical assistance. In particular, a 66-year-old woman was struck twice over a two-day period, sustaining blast injuries and a concussion. An elderly man and woman were also injured; they were diagnosed with acoustic trauma caused by Russian shell explosions near residential buildings.

The situation in the coastal areas and suburbs of Kherson remains critical due to the constant targeting of private and public transportation by Russian drones. Authorities emphasize the need for strict adherence to safety rules and taking shelter during air raid alerts. Defense forces are taking measures to counter enemy UAVs, but the frequency of attacks from the left bank remains high. Currently, all victims are receiving the necessary medical and psychological assistance.

In Kherson, a woman who was wounded during the Russian shelling of the city on April 11 died in the hospital. Doctors fought for her life for several days, but were unable to save her due to the severity of her injuries.

An incident occurred in the Kherson neighborhood of “Zhitloselishche” while police officers were performing their duties.
