Russians shell Dnipropetrovsk region, one person killed

On 15 February, Russian forces attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region 15 times, targeting the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts with drones, artillery and an aerial bomb. A 61-year-old man was killed as a result of the strikes. Residential buildings, administrative facilities and infrastructure were damaged. Local communities are documenting the destruction and assessing the scale of the losses.

The head of the regional state administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, reported the attacks on Telegram.

In the Nikopol district, the communities of Nikopol, Myrivska, Pokrovska, Marhanetska and Chervonohryhorivska came under fire. Private homes, vehicles and infrastructure were damaged. In the Synelnykove district, Russian forces targeted the Pokrovska and Mezhivska communities. Administrative buildings were hit there, and one infrastructure facility was destroyed.

“Today our communities once again came under enemy fire. Unfortunately, there is one fatality — a 61-year-old man. Infrastructure and residential buildings have been damaged,” Hanzha wrote.

Local authorities continue to record the damage and provide assistance to those affected. Emergency services are inspecting the areas for safety and dealing with the aftermath of the strikes.

Meanwhile, Russia’s “gold capital,” Bodaybo, has been left without heating following another utilities accident.

In addition, Russia carried out an airstrike on Kostiantynivka, destroying three apartment buildings.
