Rozetka is laying off employees due to Russian attacks
As a result of the Russian strike on August 5, the Rozetka automated warehouse complex in Brovary—which processed 100,000 orders daily—was destroyed. Because of this, warehouse employees had to be laid off.
The facility’s bomb shelter saved 92 employees during the missile strike, and six employees injured in the first “suicide drone” attack are currently completing their treatment. Thanks to swift action, the warehouse resumed operations just two hours after the attacks.
Despite this, the company is forced to accelerate the transformation of its business model—reducing the share of its own sales and focusing on developing its marketplace. Of the more than 1,000 employees at the Brovary facility, most will be transferred to other warehouses; however, due to the need to optimize staffing, it will not be possible to offer alternative employment to all employees.

Since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has destroyed more than 400,000 square meters of warehouse space belonging to Ukrainian businesses. Logistics facilities belonging to Fozzy Group, Rozetka, Epicenter, Nova Poshta, and other companies have come under attack.
Russia’s massive strikes on Ukraine’s retail and logistics infrastructure are not expected to cause a nationwide shortage of goods. At the same time, certain regions and stores may experience temporary supply disruptions, a reduced product selection, and a gradual increase in logistics costs.
