The Defense Forces have refuted Russia's claims that it "captured" Ryzhivka in the Sumy region
On August 5, Operational Command “North” refuted claims by Russian forces that they had allegedly captured the village of Ryzhivka in the Bilopil community in Sumy Oblast. The command called this information yet another Russian fake and emphasized that the situation in the area remains under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
This was reported in a comment to Kordon.media by Vadym Mysnyk, a spokesperson for Operational Command “North.”
“Today, Russian Telegram channels spread the news that the enemy had allegedly ‘liberated’ the village of Ryzhivka. ️In reality, this is yet another fabrication by Russian propaganda,” commented Vadym Mysnyk, spokesperson for the “North” Operational Command.
He noted that the village of Ryzhivka remains under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Ukrainian army units are holding their positions and fully carrying out their assigned combat missions.
“Such false claims by the occupiers about ‘capturing’ territories are a regular practice of information manipulation,” Mysnyk added, according to Kordon.Media.
As a reminder, in Brovary near Kyiv, Russian troops destroyed the Rozetka distribution and warehouse complex on the night of August 5. The facility was struck by three ballistic missiles. No one was injured, but the complex itself cannot be restored.
As a result of Russia’s nighttime missile attack on the night of August 5, the production and logistics facilities of the company “Epicenter” sustained significant damage. One employee was killed, and three others were injured.
As a result of a Russian drone attack on August 4 in Dnipro, a warehouse belonging to the company “Biosfera”—which was part of a 20,000-square-meter warehouse complex—was completely destroyed.
