Fuel prices on March 23: Gasoline, diesel, and natural gas prices have risen again in Ukraine

As of March 23, 2026, another increase in fuel prices has been recorded at Ukraine’s largest gas station chains.

Experts cite the escalation of the military conflict in the Middle East as the main reason for the price hike, which has triggered fluctuations in global oil prices.

Currently, the average price of A-95 gasoline at major gas stations stands at 72.86 UAH per liter.

At the same time, the average price of diesel fuel is approximately 83.89 UAH per liter, reflecting the general European trend toward rising energy prices.

Some market operators have already begun to partially raise the prices of certain types of fuel. The most noticeable changes are observed in the gasoline and liquefied gas segments, where prices have risen by between 50 kopecks and one hryvnia.

Specifically, the WOG chain raised the price of A-95 gasoline by 50 kopecks, while at BRSM-Nafta gas stations, the cost of gas increased by one hryvnia.

These isolated changes indicate that retailers are gradually adjusting to new purchase prices for imported fuel.

The market situation remains tense, as Ukraine’s light petroleum products sector is entirely dependent on external supplies.

Any geopolitical risks or currency fluctuations immediately affect prices for end consumers.

Ukrainian authorities are trying to find mechanisms to stabilize the situation and prevent a sharp spike in fuel prices.

As a reminder, bad roads and expensive fuel: how drivers can survive spring 2026.

Also, the “Fuel Cashback” program in Ukraine will launch on March 20.
