Companies supplying sanctioned goods to Russia have been exposed in Germany
In Germany, customs officials conducted large-scale searches in connection with a case involving the illegal export of goods to Russia.

At least two companies from the Rhine-Main region are under suspicion of supplying machine parts and chemicals in circumvention of sanctions.
Searches took place at 14 locations, including in Frankfurt am Main and surrounding areas.
Law enforcement officials seized documents and electronic media, and also froze the companies’ assets totaling over 1.1 million euros.
According to the investigation, logistics companies and routes through third countries were used to circumvent sanctions.
The investigation is ongoing, with the management of the three companies under suspicion.
The U.S. has temporarily lifted sanctions on several Russian vessels so they can complete unloading of oil loaded before March 12. This applies to container ships and tankers flying the Russian flag that were already en route.
The European Union is considering tightening sanctions against Russia’s shadow fleet, including possible restrictions on Russian ports.
