A memorial in the shape of a bonfire was unveiled at the Tustan Nature Reserve in honor of the fallen heroes
A memorial complex in the shape of a bonfire was unveiled at the “Tustan” State Historical and Cultural Reserve in honor of the fallen defenders of Ukraine whose lives were connected to this site.
The memorial site was designed by architect Khrystyna Badzian in the form of a traditional unifying symbol of Carpathian festivals. The initiative to honor these heroes came from soldier and deputy director of the reserve, Ihor Pundi.
The names of seven heroes—staff members, researchers, volunteers, reenactors, and local residents—have been immortalized 
on the stone block of the bonfire-shaped memorial. According to Andriy Kotlyarchuk, director of the reserve, the structure is a living place of remembrance where a fire can be lit, and it allows for the addition of new names.
