The government has tripled the maximum amount of compensation for businesses for damaged property

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has significantly expanded its support program for entrepreneurs operating in frontline regions and throughout the rest of the country. 

According to Yulia Svyrydenko, head of the Ministry of Economy, the maximum compensation amount for damaged or destroyed property has increased from 10 million UAH to 30 million UAH. In addition to increasing the amounts, the government has removed restrictions under which payments were reduced by the amount of previously received state grants, and businesses have been granted the right to revise their applications until May 1, 2026.

The changes also affected reimbursement for property insurance costs against war risks. The maximum amount of insurance premium compensation was raised from UAH 1 million to UAH 3 million. The new rules allow businesses to receive state aid more quickly—applications can be submitted as early as the 31st day after the contract is signed. If an entrepreneur pays the insurance premium in installments, state compensation will also be paid in proportion to the payments made.

As of today, businesses have submitted 52 claims for loss compensation, 20 of which have already been approved for a total of 166.5 million UAH. In the area of property insurance, 21 claims have been submitted for review. The program update aims to stimulate investment activity and ensure the resilience of Ukrainian businesses amid ongoing security threats.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine registered a draft law with the Verkhovna Rada regulating payments for damaged or destroyed real estate whose rights are not entered in the State Register of Property Rights.
