AI-powered video surveillance system launched in Ukraine, first implemented in Chernihiv
Ukraine has introduced an AI-based video surveillance system, with its first implementation in Chernihiv. This system can recognize faces and vehicles in real time, representing a significant enhancement in city security and enabling rapid police response.
As part of the project, 400 new cameras have been installed in Chernihiv, increasing the total number of surveillance devices in the region to 1,500. The monitoring operates 24/7, allowing law enforcement to continuously observe street activity and quickly address incidents.
This system’s deployment is expected to boost public safety significantly, enabling faster identification of offenders and marking a step forward in the use of smart technologies for security in Ukraine.
