Vučić said he does not believe the war in Ukraine will end soon
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that he is not confident the war in Ukraine will end soon and fears that a harsh winter lies ahead for Ukraine and all of Europe.
“I am not sure that the war will end soon, and I fear that a difficult winter lies ahead—both for Ukraine and for all of us,” Vučić said during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

An official welcoming ceremony for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has begun in the Serbian capital, Belgrade.
On August 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will make his first official visit to Serbia. In Belgrade, he will meet with President Aleksandar Vučić—the two sides plan to discuss Serbia’s path to the EU, the economy, and energy. At the same time, Vučić stated that Zelenskyy’s visit does not signal a change in Serbia’s position regarding sanctions against Russia.
