“Withdraw your agents”: Orbán issued a sharp demand to Ukraine
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán claimed that Ukraine had allegedly “infiltrated spies” into the ranks of the opposition party “Tisa” and called for them to be “taken home.”
In a video address, he appealed to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, demanding that he recall the “agents” and refrain from interfering in Hungary’s internal affairs.
Orbán claims that in the run-up to the elections, Ukraine has stepped up its activities in the country’s political sphere, particularly through “spies” and IT specialists allegedly linked to the opposition.
The Hungarian prime minister also stated that the elections are taking place against a backdrop of unprecedented interference by foreign intelligence services and assured that state agencies are working to prevent such influence.
Earlier, the Hungarian parliament reported that two IT specialists who collaborated with “Tisa” allegedly had contacts with Ukraine and visited the Ukrainian embassy in Budapest. During searches, their equipment and other materials were seized, and authorities announced the discovery of ties to foreign entities.
