Zelenskyy held a command meeting: discussions focused on the National Security and Defense Council, air defense, and the Russian economy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the results of a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters, where three key issues were discussed.

Zelenskyy reported this.

The first issue was ground-based robotic systems. “Ground-based robotic systems are currently one of the most pressing needs of our Defense Forces,” the president noted. According to him, 25,000 ground-based robotic systems have already been contracted—“twice as many as last year”—and this number will continue to grow.

The second area of focus was ballistic missile defense. “It is important that the May deliveries amount to no less than what we have already received in terms of commitments from our partners,” Zelenskyy emphasized. They also discussed the development of alternative missile defense systems, particularly Ukrainian-made ones.

The third issue concerned intelligence reports. “We are observing a significant deterioration in key indicators and noticeable losses in Russian exports,” the president said.

He added that attempts by the Russian leadership to use the war in Iran to improve its financial situation have not yielded results. “The actual results for Russia are negative,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

The president stressed that Ukraine will continue to increase pressure on the aggressor.

Ukraine hopes that the European Union will open all six negotiation clusters regarding the country’s accession as early as this year, and also anticipates the possibility of closing at least one of them by the end of the year.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that our country could open and close all six negotiation clusters necessary for accession to the European Union as early as next year.
